The Harvest Festival takes place on Saturday 10th October from 10 till 4 at St Christopher’s Church on Hampstead Road in BS4. The event will be showcasing brilliant local artists and makers inspired by harvest and the seasons, as well as local flower farms, community growers and food projects sharing details of their work and how you can get involved and help.
Bring your fruit and veg gluts to share and jams to swap, taste local ciders from Dick Willows Farm and learn how to ID apples with Woodcroft Community Orchard, watch maker demos and chat about crafts. Join in printing a lovely community banner for Incredible Edible to use on their site with Rosanna Morris.
Celebrate autumn in all its glory and raise money for a brilliant local food growing project. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Sara Venn Project and Incredible Edible Bristol.
There are lots of workshops happening throughout the day. More details and links to pre-book are below:
10am – talk by Noah Venn of the Sara Venn Project and Edible Bristol about the brilliant work they are doing which this event is in support of
11am – Q&A talk and book signing with Lia Leendertz, author of the bestselling annual Seasonal Almanac guides. You can buy a signed copy of the 2027 Almanac from Lia on the day and 10% of book sales will go to the Sara Venn Project
12pm -1pm and 3pm till 4pm – MAKE YOUR OWN STRING FROM PLANTS with Rachel Lambert of Wild Walks SouthWest
Learn how to make strong string for tying things, bracelets, necklaces or creative projects. 12-1pm and 3-4pm £10pp. Materials supplied, go away with your own homemade string! Book your place here – maximum of 8 people per workshop:

There will be tea, coffee and cakes for sale in the hall, served by the church. All cake sale proceeds will also be donated to the Sara Venn Project and Edible Bristol.
Dick Willows Farm will be selling soap, cheese toasties and other seasonal savoury food alongside their delicious cider – cold or mulled.
